Lenovo Expands Laptop, Tablet Offering at IFA

Lenovo reveals an expanded tablet and gaming PC offering at IFA 2014 with the company's first Intel-powered Android tablet, a 17-inch touchscreen laptop and an affordable gaming desktop PC.

Lenovo IFA tabletAs mentioned above the Tab S8 is the first Android tablet from the company carrying an Intel processor, specifically the Atom Z3745. The CPU features Burst Performance Technology, which according to Lenovo matches processing power with current tasks in order to maximise battery life.

The tablet also features an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 "infinity screen" with One Glass Solution touchscreen technology, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, Bluetooth 4.0, Dolby-enhanced dual front speakers and 8MP rear/1.6MP front-facing cameras.

Meanwhile the Y70 Touch is a gaming laptop with a 17-inch touchscreen (the largest from Lenovo) and up to 4th generation i7 CPU and Nvidia GTX graphics. Further specifications include up to 16GB DDR3L RAM, 1TB SSHD storage, JBL-designed stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced audio and a backlit keyboard.

lenovo eraserThe final IFA Lenovo announcement is the Erazer X315-- the latest addition to Lenovo's affordable desktop gaming PCs, with AMD Radeon R9 graphics, quad-core CPU, up to 2TB SSHD, 12GB RAM and Dolby 7.1 audio.

All comes inside a "futuristic" chassis complete with front LED lighting, one-touch port cover and hidden air vent.

The Tab S8 is available from September 2014, the Y70 Touch from October 2014 and the Erazer X315 from November 2014.
