Toshiba launches what it claims is the thinnest (at 6.9mm) Windows tablet-- the dynaPad N72, a 12-inch Surface-style 2-in-1 device featuring a keyboard dock and a Wacom stylus.

Toshiba dynapadFirst seen in prototype form back at IFA 2015, the dynaPad promises a unique take on stylus input through the use of a Wacom Electrostatics TruPen (capable of 2048 levels of pressure) and a metal mesh sensor touchscreen replicating the feeling of writing on paper. Even the 12-inch display apparently mirrors a common-size notebook, and pen input is compatible with Microsoft Office, Edge and the Toshiba business app suite.

The IPS display handles 1920 x 1280 resolution and includes dual-layer anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint coating. Further tech details include a 1.44 GHz Atom processor and up to 4GB RAM.

The dynaPad N72 is available in European markets from Q1 2016.
