E-mail Print PDF

MSI claims the GT72S G Tobii is the first gaming laptop featuring eye-tracking technology-- allowing customers to control game and Windows features through power of vision alone.

MSI Tobii laptopThe eye-tracking technology comes from Tobii, and uses triple dual-lens near-IR illuminators to track eye movements under any lighting conditions. When coupled with compatible titles it allows users to switch targets, select objects and even pause games by either focusing at or looking away from the screen.

To make trying out the much vaunted feature easier the laptop is bundled with a copy of Tom Clancy's The Division. Other compatible games include Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, ArmA III and Elite Dangerous. The technology also acts as a password-free Windows 10 login system, and the OS supports glance-based controls for highlighting, selecting or deleting items, zooming and centering through maps, and sifting through Windows, folders and applications.

As for actual specifications, the 17-inch laptop carries an Intel Core i7 6820HK CPU, Nvidia GTX 980M GPU, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD and 32GB RAM. It is available now.
