Cherry Presents MX RGB Nature White Keyswitch

Customers and keyboard makers get another Cherry keyswitch option-- the MX RGB Nature White, a linear switch with actuation force of 55g but without an audible or tactile pressure point.

Cherry MX RGB SwitchCherry White switches are feel similar to the MX Black and Red switches much favoured by enthusiasts and gamers, sitting between the two switches in terms of pressure required to register a keypress (for the curious, the MX Black requires 60g, while the MX Red demands 45g). The switch features Gold Crosspoint technology, is self-cleaning, has a short bounce time for fast typing and is rated for over 50 million keystrokes.

As the name suggests the MX RGB Nature White is also designed for multicolour illumination, with a scattering surface lens promising consistent lighting. Or, as the company puts it, "in naming the new switch, Cherry has consciously opted for the complex designation 'MX RGB Nature White' to further push its linear and natural-looking properties to the foreground. This avoids confusion with the tactile MX White, which is now discontinued from the CHERRY portfolio."

The first product featuring the MX RGB Nature White comes from Ducky-- namely the Ducky Shine-5 keyboard-- since the Taiwan-based keyboard maker has the honour of being a "launch exclusive partner."
