Corsair launches a pair of K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile mechanical gaming keyboards-- one regular, the other "Rapidfire," both featuring fast actuating Cherry MX Low Profile keyswitches within a slim design.

Corsair K70 low profileAccording to the company the Cherry MX Low Profile keyswitches offer the same performance as regular Cherry mechanical switches with a lower 11.9mm height and short actuation distance. Combined with redesigned low profile keycaps the switches reduce the full keypress distance to both bottom out the key and actuate the switch, lessening keypress fatigue.

The Rapidfire version of the keyboard features Corsair-exclusive Low Profile keyswitches with 1mm actuation distance, while the regular version uses Cherry MX Low Profile RGB mechanical with low 1.2mm actuation distance. Both keyboards come in a brushed aluminium frame just 29mm tall, the slimmest form factor for a Corsair keyboard yet.

Being gaming hardware, the keyboards also offer plenty of lighting-- the housing is engineered to increased LED diffusion, while each key carries RGB backlighting. Customers can control the lighting through Corsair iCUE software, with full customisation and syncing with other iCUE-compatible devices. The software also provides macros and custom key remaps.

Also included in the keyboards are dedicated multimedia controls, a knurled aluminium volume roller, USB passthrough port for additional devices, onboard profile storage and full key rollover. Meanwhile replacement keycaps for the WASD and QWERDF keys provide colour-accented options for the most often used keys in gaming.

The two keyboards are available now.
