Viper Gaming, the gaming peripheral offshoot of memory maker Patriot, announces a pair of gaming mice-- the V550 and V551, both featuring PixArt Optical sensors and RGB lighting.

Viper gaming mouseThe V550 offers an adjustable 5000 DPI optical sensor within an ambidextrous, while the 6200 DPI sensor inside the right-handed V551 can reach up to 12000 when using Viper software. This is due to the mouse tracking at 220 IPS with a polling rate of 1000Hz, allowing for the most sensitive response times.

The two mice also differ in terms of button count-- the V550 has 9 buttons (8 programmable), while the V551 has 8 buttons (7 programmable). The buttons feature Omron switches, and promise up to 10 million clicks of durability. Viper software allows the customisation of said buttons, together with the built-in RGB lighting. The mice are wired, and include a 1.8m braided USB-A cable.

The V550 and V551 gaming mice ship on May 2019.
