Retro Camera Stylings for Azio Iris Keyboard

Print

Peripheral maker Azio takes to Computex 2019 to present a unique-looking keyboard-- the Iris, a mechanical keyboard featuring analog dials and switches inspired by vintage camera viewfinders.

Arios IrisThe Iris comes in separately sold keyboard and numpad units designed to stand next to each other on the desk. Both feature CherryMX switches and RGB lighting underneath the deck, and connect to PCs using either an included wireless USB dongle or Bluetooth. The small knob on the top left allows one to choose between the choice of wireless connectivity, while a USB-C port takes care of charging duties.

The larger knob on the top right is more complex, since it provides a choice of different controls. Styled after vintage camera lenses, the outer wheel acts as volume control, while the inside has a D-pad for playback controls. Keyboard construction features a polished steel frame wrapped in textured leather, and Azio offers the keyboard in either gold with red leather, rose gold in white leather and gray in black leather.

Azio is still to announce when the Iris keyboard hits the market.
