Razer launches a pair of wireless versions of the 2017 Basilisk gaming mouse-- the Basilisk Ultimate and Basilisk X Hyperspeed, both promising to offer best-in-class wireless connectivity via HyperSpeed technology.

Razer BasiliskAccording to the company, HyperSpeed is 25% faster than any other wireless gaming technology. It is apparently tested by "top eSports athletes," and claims the lowest click latency and fastest transmission speeds for instantaneous swipes and clicks. Adaptive Frequency Hopping provides lag-free connection by constantly scanning frequency channels for interference and switching across channels in real-time.

The Basilisk Ultimate carries a Focus+ 20K DPI optical sensor, the highest available in a Razer mouse. It also features intelligent functions such as Smart Tracking Asymmetric Cut-Off and Motion Sync, allowing for greater tracking accuracy. Optical mouse switches promise both durability and ultra-fast clicks, while 5 on-board memory profiles provide instant access to personal settings. Customers can also connect the mouse to PCs via included Speedflex USB cable.

Meanwhile the Basilisk X HyperSpeed carries a 5G 16000 DPI optical sensor and dual-mode HyperSpeed Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. Users can switch to Bluetooth mode to extend battery life to up ot 450 hours. The mouse has 6 programmable buttons and on-board DPI storage for easy setup without need for software, and the mechanical switches offer durability reaching 50 million clicks.
