Details on the next LG flagship smartphone, the G7, are thin on the ground, but the Korean company does have one announcement ahead of the 2 May 2018 reveal-- the addition of ThinQ "Empathic AI."

LG G7ThinQ is the LG brand of artificial intelligence technology. It combines voice control with "vision AI" able to enhance camera functionality. It was first seen earlier this year in the V30S, and the version found in the G7 should see improvements making capable of human-like thinking. Or so LG claims, at any rate.

According to a supposed press render leaked to Android Headlines, the G7 looks very similar to the iPhone X-- namely it has an edge-to-edge design with a notch holding the front-facing camera and earpiece speaker. The fingerprint reader lies on the back, behind the rear-facing camera, and the side holds the power button, volume rocker and what is assumed is a hardware button for summoning the AI.

As mentioned earlier, more news on the G7 will be available come May 2017. Android Headlines does add the smartphone will ship in 5 different colours,  “Aurora Black,” “Platinum Grey,” “Moroccan Blue,” “Moroccan Blue (matte)” and “Raspberry Rose.”
