AOC announces an entry-level 4K gaming display-- the 28-inch G2868PQU, featuring 3840 x 2160 resolution with a fast 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync support to eliminate stutter and screen tear.

AOC gaming monitorThe display uses a "next-generation HDR-ready" TN panel with 300 nits maximum brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 60Hz maximum refresh rate. As mentioned earlier the display supports FreeSync dynamic refresh rate technology, although AOC does not confirm whether it also supports Low Framerate Compensation.

On the colour side the display covers 102% of the sRGB and 82% of the AdobeRGB colour spaces. A Game Color mode allows for user-adjustable saturation, while Shadow Control provides user-adjustable brightness for dark visuals. Also included are preset game modes aimed for FPS, RTS and racing games, a Dual Point crosshair feature and 3 slots for user-defined presets.

The monitor sits on a height-adjustable stand, all with an anguular design replete with red inlays. Connectivity comes through D-Sub, DVI-DL, DisplayPort and HDMI-MHL ports, together with a quad-port USB 3.0 hub, audio input and headphone output. A pair of built-in speakers handles audio duties.

The G2868PQU ships in European markets from March 2019.
