LG announces an addition to the UltraGear gaming monitor line-- the 34GN850-B, a curved ultrawide display based around a 34-inch 21:9 ratio Nano IPS panel with 1800R curvature and 3440 x 1440 resolution.

According to the company, the Nano IPS panel has 1ms (GtG) response time, rivaling that of TN panels. The refresh rate is 144Hz, with the option of a 160Hz boost using the DisplayPort 1.4 connection. The display is Nvidia-tested and officially verified to be G-Sync compatible, and also carries AMD Premium FreeSync certification. A Dynamic Action Sync mode allows gamers to "catch every single action in real-time," while other gaming features include Black Stabiliser and built-in crosshair options.

Moving back to general specifications, the panel is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and offers brightness reaching 400cd/m2 with a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1. It covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, allowing it to display 1.07 billion colours. A 3H anti-glare coating helps with the wide viewing angles.

Connectivity comes through x2 HDMI (max 85Hz at native res 10-bit colour) and x1 DisplayPort 1.4 ports, plus x1 USB 3.0 upstream and x2 downstream ports. The monitor has no built-in speakers, instead offering sound through a headphone socket. What it does include is a stand with a range of tilt and height adjustments, and customers can also use a 100x100mm VESA mount.

The UltraGear 34GN850-B is shipping now, if at first in Asian countries.
