Nvidia uses the Game Developers Conference to present what it claims is its fastest gaming GPU yet-- the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, graphics card offering "35% more performance" than the base GTX 1080.

Nvidia gtx 1080 tiProviding the GTX 1080 Ti with more power is 11GB of next generation GDDR5X VRAM running at 11Gbps. In comparison, the regular GTX 1080 has 8GB of memory, while the RAM inside the powerhouse Titan X runs at a slower speed of 10Gbps. Manufacturing comes courtesy of a FinFET process giving the card 12 billion transistors.

Other features include a new high-airflow thermal solution with vapour chamber cooling and a 7-phase power design with 14 high-efficiency dualFETs. The card supports all required advanced graphics technologies, including 4K, VR, Nvidia G-Sync HDR and Nvidia GameWorks.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti hits the market on March 2017.
