Gigabyte announces the Aorus GTX 1070-- a "true plug-and-play" external graphics solution promising to transform any laptop armed with a Thunderbolt 3 port into a "powerful gaming battle station."

Aorus GTX 1070First revealed at Computex 2017, the Aorus GTX 1070 differs from other external GPU enclosures, since it ships with a built-in graphics card (specifically a factory-overclocked GTX 1070 graphics card). It also delivers up to 100W to the connected laptop via embedded 450W PSU, while Thunderbolt 3 connectivity offers data transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.

The Gaming Box is fairly compact, measuring 37 x 169 x 131mm. It includes customisable coloured lighting on the side of the chassis, x3 USB 3.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and HDMI, DisplayPort and x2 dual-link DVI outputs for the pairing of single or multiple external monitors.
