PC hardware maker Phanteks announces the PWHUB_02 universal fan controller-- a means to control up to x8 fans (or more with optional splitter cables) compatible with both 3-pin (DC) and 4-pin (PWM) fans.
The company says the device offers "simple and easy" fan control, and users can tweak fans either manually or using automatic motherboard sensor synchronisation. A manual remote provides a choice of 3 speeds, described as either Silent, Balanced, or Performance, with the fans spinning at either 40%, 70% or 100% of full throttle respectively.
The included motherboard cable allows attached fans to respond to the DC or PWM signal from the motherboard, with motherboard and BIOS settings dictating when and how the fans start spinning. Phanteks says installation should be easy, since integrated magnets allow one to securely fit the controller to the chassis.
The PWHUB_02 should hit the market from April 2019.
