1 May 2019 sees AMD celebrate its 50th anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion the company is rolling out a pair of limited edition products-- the Ryzen 7 2700X Gold Edition CPU and the Radeon VII Gold Edition GPU.
The special edition of the Ryzen 7 2700X is essentially identical to the regular edition of the 2700X, outside the signature of AMD CEO Lisu Su imprinted on the processor cover and gold AMD50 packaging. The special edition bundle also includes a Wraith Prism cooler, a Lisa Su signature sticker, an AMD 50th anniversary shirt and 2 free games, World War Z and The Division 2 Gold Edition.
The Radeon VII Gold Edition comes in a similar gold AMD50 package. It features a red shroud and includes the same goodies as the processor, namely the sticker, shirt and 2 free games.
As well as the two 50th anniversary products, AMD products will also offer special deals on select AMD products varying according to country and region. The anniversary campaign runs until 8 June 2019.
