How to Externally Charge the New MacBook

External battery pack maker Hyper announces the HyperJuice Magic Box-- an adapter allowing customers to charge the 12-inch Regina MacBook at full 29W rate using HyperJuice battery packs.

HyperJuice Magic BoxThe company also offers a Magic Box version compatible with regular USB battery packs, for MacBook charging reaching up to 12W.

The adapter converts the DC output of a HyperJuice battery to a USB-C connection via smart IC for "fast and safe" 29W charging. Meanwhile the 12W Magic Box features a USB to USB-C adapter allowing one to use any USB battery pack with the new MacBook.

HyperJuice batteries come in 4 capacities-- 60, 100, 150 and 222Wh.

Hyper currently offers the Magic Box adapters on a preorder basis on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform, with shipments to kick off from November 2015. On the other hand HyperJuice batteries are available now.
