SteelSeries announces the availability of the Apex M500-- a "battle-ready" mechnical keyboard featuring Cherry MX Red switches and SteelSeries Engine customisation software.
Aimed at pro gamers, the Apex M500 comes in a traditional key layout, even if the use of Cherry MX switches provides customers with a wide range of alternative keycaps and keycaps sets. SteelSeries also promises 100% anti-ghosting technology with 104 key rollover to ensure precision.
Construction is in "the toughest plastics" as reinforced with a steel back plate. Underneath the keyboard is a choice of 3 cable guides, non-slip rubber pads and adjustable height feet. Across the function keys is a set of media keys, and the built-in LED lighting offers 3 different breathe settings and 4 individual brightness levels.
The included SteelSeries Engine software allows for "limitless customisation" for key assignments, text-based, key and on-the-fly macros with unlimited profiles one can auto-deploy on a per game basis.
