Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) announces a gaming monitor with a company first-- the ROG Swift PG27UQ features DisplayHDR 1000 certification to ensure the HDR quality is top notch.

Asus ROG SwiftThe Swift PG27UQ features the same 27-inch IPS panel as the Predator X27, a gaming monitor Acer launched just a week ago. As such it offers an identical 4K UHD native resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It also boasts 1000cd/m2 peak brightness, factory colour calibration and LED backlighting able to dynamically control 384 zones. Meanwhile integrated Nvidia G-Sync technology eliminates lag and screen tearing.

Asus additions come through LED lighting-- specifically the ROG Light Signal and Light Signature, a projection kit allowing users to sync lighting with other RGB Aura Sync devices, creating something of a light show on the desktop surface. The monitor sits on an adjustable stand, and connectivity includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and x3 USB 3.0 ports.
