LaCie takes to CES 2019 with a range of external storage solutions aimed at data-hungry customers, including the 2019 Mobile Drive, Mobile SSD and Backup Plus Ultra Touch.
The 2019 version of the Mobile Drive is an external HDD in capacities ranging from 2 to 5TB. It features a USB-C interface, and comes inside a newly designed aluminium enclosure with an "eye-catching diamond-cut" design. The Mobile SSD features a similar design and USB-C interface, only with up to 2TB of faster solid state storage. Both include a 1-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, and the LaCie Toolkit software for backup/mirroring purposes.
Meanwhile the Backup Plus Ultra Touch features a woven textile enclosure, together with features such as automatic backup with multi-device folder sync and data protection through hardware encryption, in capacities of either 1 or 2TB. Also available are the Backup Plus Slim (1 and 2TB) and Backup Plus Portable (4 and 5TB), with lustrous aluminium finishes and a complimentary 2-month Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan subscription.
The LaCie Mobile Drive and Mobile SSD are available from January 2019, with the Backup Plus Ultra Touch to follow on February. The Backup Plus Slim and Portable should ship on March 2019.
