Logitech Brings Back MX518 Gaming Mouse

Logitech announces a comeback of a classic gaming mouse-- the MX518, now featuring a HERO 16K sensor and a a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M-based SoC within the same ambidextrous design from the original 2005 rodent.

Logitech MX518The HERO sensor provides up to 16000 DPI resolution, up from the 1600 DPI of the first MX518, and users can either customise own DPI settings or scroll through 5 pre-selected settings (400, 800, 1600, 3200 and 6400) using the buttons above and below the mouse wheel. Logitech says the mouse is rated for up to 40 G maximum acceleration, as well as for up to 400 IPS (inches per minute) maximum acceleration.

The mouse has 5 dedicated buttons, and all are programmable, including the two side buttons. The processor can store up to 5 different profiles. Connectivity comes via USB cable, with a report rate of 1000MHz (1ms).

The MX518 is available now in a black "Nightfall" colour scheme.
