USB and Thunderbolt device maker Plugable presents the UD-6950H-- a horizontal 4K display docking station the company says is an ideal for solution for an efficient and streamlined workspace.
The docking station supports two extra displays of either the HDMI or DisplayPort variety, while adding x6 USB 3.0 ports, ethernet and audio ports to connect any device to the laptop. Compatible with Windows PCs and laptops, it offers x2 HDMI and x2 DisplayPort outputs for mirroring or extending a desktop to up to two external monitors.
Such dual-monitor capability allows users to multitask across various screens. The UD-6950H supports monitors from 720p up to 4K, and both DisplayPort and HDMI outputs are backwards compatible, allowing interoperability with previous specifications. Meanwhile the ethernet port provides hard-wired networking, while the audio input and audio ports allow the connection of external speakers, headphones or a microphone.
The UD-6950H is available now in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.
