Polish industrial hardware maker Dr Zaber takes to crowdfunding to present a console-style PC chassis-- the Sentry 2.0, a case the company claims fits mid-range and high-end components despite a small form factor.

Sentry 2Described as "the world's first truly console-sized gaming PC chassis," the Sentry 2.0 is 7 litre volume case designed around a standard mini-ITX motherboard. It fits off-the-shelf components, including dual-slot full-length (305mm) GPUs, 120mm AiO coolers (or 47mm tall air coolers for the CPU) and standard SFX PSUs. it should also fit up to x4 2.5-inch SSDs, standard profile memory DIMMs and a two-pice rigid PCB PCIe riser for the GPU.

The chassis measures 340 x 310 x 66mm, is built out of 1mm galvanised steel, and weighs 2.6kg. The front panel offers access to x2 USB-A ports and a power/reset switch with ring LED. It stands in either horizontal or vertical (via stand) orientation, and Dr Zaber adds it has been design thanks to input from enthusiasts from the HardOCP forums and the SFF forum.

As mentioned earlier, the Sentry 2.0 is currently available on a preorder basis through the Indiegogo platform. Should the crowdfunding campaign be successful Dr Zaber promises shipments will start on December 2019.
