Official Keyboard and Mouse for the Raspberry Pi

E-mail Print PDF

The Raspberry Pi Organisation announces a pair of official peripherals for the titular micro-PC-- a keyboard and mouse, available in either white and (raspberry) red or two-tone black/gray.

Raspberry Pi keyboard The keyboard is a compact 78-key number with all the features one can expect from a, well, keyboard. It connects to the Raspberry Pi via micro USB port, and acts as a 3-port USB-A port. Also included are 3 lock keys with corresponding LED indicator lights, together with a dedicated Raspberry key replacing the regular Windows key. The makers add the custom firmware comes via Holtek, and promises the best key matrix management.

Meanwhile the mouse is a two-button rodent with a clickable scroll wheel. It carries what are described as high quality Omron microswitches, as well as an unspecified optical sensor. The colour options are the same as the keyboard, namely white/red or black/gray, both with a Raspberry Pi logo embossed on the base and USB connector.

The Raspberry Pi keyboard and mouse are available now.
