German PC maker Shuttle announces an addition to the XPC slim PC family-- the DS10 range, consisting of 4 fanless barebones models with a steel chassis and a choice of Intel processors, including Whiskey Lake-based options.
A successor to the DS77 series, the DS10 range consists of the DS10U, DS10U3, DS10U5 and DS10U7. Processor options range from the Celeron 4205U inside to the DS10U to the Core i7-8565U in the DS10U7. All come inside a 1.3l steel chassis offering silent fanless performance, and are designed for 24/7 operation with passive cooling allowing less dust to enter the insides.
The chassis measures 20 x 16.5 x 3.95cm, and provides enough space for one 2.5-inch storage device and two SO-DIMM slots for up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. An M.2-2280 slot allows connection of NVMe storage, while a second M.2 slot carries a WLAN/Bluetooth module. HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 ports handle 4K UHD content playback, and a VGA port is also available. Further connectivity comes through four USB 3.1 ports.
Customers can set up all models either standing upright (via supplied stands), mounted on suitable surfaces or attached to monitors via VESA mounts. Shuttle also offers a number of accessories, including a connecting cable for the external power button, DIN rail mounting kit, 2U rack mount kit, LTE adapter and COM port adapter.
