Logitech Intros Ergonomic Ergo 860 Keyboard

E-mail Print PDF

Ergo K860Microsoft gets some competition in the ergonomic PC keyboard space-- Logitech announces the Ergo K860, a keyboard featuring a split design the company promises can reduce strain on the wrists and forearms.

Designed to pair with the Logitech MX Ergo and MX Vertical mice, the Ergo K860 claims to offer comfort from what looks like a high-end product. The built-in wrist rest consists of three layers, with high-density foam, memory foam and, on top, "easy-clean" coated fabric. Hidden pop-out clips on the palm rest lift the front of the keyboard in a choice of two angle settings.

The keyboard is compatible with both Mac or Windows PCs, with wireless connectivity through either Bluetooth or USB dongle. The dongle handles support for up to three devices simultaneously, while Flow software allows for easy switching between multiple devices. Logitech adds the Ergo K860 runs for up to two years on a pair of AAA batteries, but one has to keep in mind the keys lack integrated backlighting.

The Ergo K860 ships on February 2020.
