Lenovo announces a trio of additions to the ThinkPad portfolio-- the T, X and L series, designed to provide a "broad customer choice and a smarter workforce experience" with a range of features and a choice of Intel or AMD processors.
The company claims it is the first to offer laptops running on the AMD Ryzen PRO 4000 Mobile processor, as well as a selection of 10th gen Intel Core vPro processors. In addition, the laptops offer features such as smartphone-style always-on "Modern Standby," Wifi 6 and up to CAT 16 WWAN connectivity, unified communications function keys, built-in ThinkShield security solutions and UHD, OLD and Dolby Vision display options.
Consisting of three models, the T14, T14s and T15, the T series is a ThinkPad mainstay replete with Windows 10 Pro and 10th gen Intel Core vPro processors and, in the case of the T14 and T14s, the AMD Ryzen PRO 4000 Mobile. The displays offer optional Dolby Vision support, and the Modern Standby feature allows users to wake up the laptop through the power of their voice alone.
Described as a "premium mobile workhorse," the X13 and X13 Yoga are smaller notebooks customers can configure with an FHD 500 nit PrivacyGuard ePrivacy display for protection against overy the shoulder glances. The X13 Yoga also includes a Dolby Audio speaker system and the option of a UHD OLED display with Dolby Vision.
The L series includes the L14, L15, L13 and L13 Yoga, all thinner and lighter across the board and featuring Wifi 6 and optional CAT 9 WWAN connectivity. The L14 and L15 models include unified communications keys for rapid access to meeting controls, while Dolby Audio and brighter on-cell touchscreens offer an improved interactive experience. A fingerprint reader boosts security through Windows Hello authentication.
All the above mentioned Lenovo laptops ship from Q2 2020.
