Logitech follows on the announcement of the latest iPad Pro with the launch of an appropriate case-- the Combo Touch, a keyboard case featuring Smart Connector compatibility and an integrated touchpad.

Logitech Combo Touch

“The Combo Touch brings a new way to interact with iPad, giving you an on-screen cursor to edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations and to navigate in comfort with familiar gestures,” the company says. “Our new keyboard brings over 20 years of Logitech typing experience together with a trackpad, and is compatible with the Smart Connector for an all-new iPad experience.”

The most recent iPadOS update, version 13.4, brings trackpad support to the Apple tablet, turning it into even more of a laptop-style device. While launched with the latest iPad, the OS is also available for other iPad models, namely the 7th generation iPad and 3rd generation iPad Air. It provides users with multi-finger gesture controls in apps such as Notes, Pages, Numbers and Keynote, including swipe, scroll, switch apps, pinch and double-tap.

The Combo Touch case also provides a row of shortcut keys for one-tap access to the Home Screen, search, media controls and screen brightness controls. The keys are set in a familiar layout and backlit in 5 adjustable brightness levels, while Smart Connector capability allows for instant pairing and powering. It also includes a kickstand with 40-degree tilt, and can store a Logitech Crayon or Apple Pencil stylus.

The Combo Touch ships on May 2020.
