Corsair Launches Fastest DDR4 Kits

Corsair adds what it claims are the fastest ever 32, 64 and 128GB DDR4 kits to the Vengeance LPX DDR4 range, all with headline frequences reaching up to 3600MHz plus Intel XMP 2.0 compatibility.

The fastest kit in the series is the Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) with 3600MHz frequency, running at 1.35V with CL 18-19-19-39 timings. The bigger capacity 64GB (4x16GB) kit runs at 3333MHz at 1.35V with CL 116-18-18-36 timings, and boths are optimised for the Intel Z170 dual-channel platform.

The biggest Vengeance LPX kit is the 128GB (8x16GB) option, clocked at 3000MHz and running at 1.35V with 16-18-18-36 timing. Corsair says it is "designed to push Intel’s X99 quad-channel platform to the next level," and as such is ideal for high-end workstation builders.

G.SKILL Announces Ripjaws Memory Kit

Customers wanting high-performance memory might be interested in the G.SKILL Ripjaws-- a DDR4 3000MHz CL14 128GB memory kit consisting of 8X 16GB memory modules.

Designed for use with the Intel X99 platform, the Ripjaws is the fastest DDR4 128GB 1.35V memory kit according to the company. It offers 3000MHz "extreme speed" with CL14-14-14-34 low CAS latency, making it ideal for professional workstations used on content creation, 3D rendering or scientific applications.

G.SKILL Boosts DDR4 Module Speeds

Memory and gaming peripheral maker G.SKILL announces a series of "ultra high performance" DDR4 kits based on 8GB modules, in configurations ranging from from 3600MHz CL16 32GB (4x8GB) to 4133MHz 16GB (2x8GB).

Based on Samsung ICs, the memory kits are ideal for enthusiast customers. All feature the latest XMP 2.0 overclocking profiles to allow simple overclocking on compatible systems.

Samsung Boosts Mobile DRAM

Samsung starts mass production of what it claims is the first 12Gb (or 1.5GB) LPDDR4 DRAM modules for mobile device use, as based on the company's advanced 20nm process technology.

The modules take the same space inside devices as Samsung 6Gb modules, allowing mobile phone makers to either double the device memory within the same space or make smaller phones with 3GB of RAM.

The company adds the 12Gb modules are 30% quicker than its 8Gb modules (found in many 4GB devices), meaning future smartphones and tablets get a further performance boost. Energy use is also down by around 20%, allowing for longer battery lives.

Avexir Intros Raiden DDR3 RAM

"High end/gaming/crazy memory products" maker Avexir launches the Raiden series, DDR3 memory modules claiming "premium" performance via hand-picked ICs and easy optimal configuration with Intel XMP support.

The modules feature 8-layer performance optimised printed circuit boards, as well as machined aluminium heat sinks and gold finger protection to prevent oxidation. However, according to the company the main USP is not performance-- not when the modules feature "world exclusive patented technology of plasma tubes to mimic lightning effect."

Or, in a few words, built-in blue LEDs.
