Peerless-AV and Almoe Digital Solutions, distributor of AV and IT products and supplier of customised business technology solutions across the UAE, announce their new partnership-- and the launch of new solutions at the 36th Gitex Technology Week (at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 16th to 20th October).

On the Almoe Digital Solutions stand, Peerless-AV will be exhibiting a range of versatile and installer-friendly video wall mounts and kiosk solutions to GITEX's international audience of more than 146,000 professionals.

Razer announces a pair of gaming mice-- the Lancehead and Lancehead Tournament Edition, both featuring an identical ambidextrous design, mechanical switches and 16000 DPI 5G sensors.

The Lancehead is the wireless option of the two, featuring what Razer claims is "revolutionary" Adaptive Frequency Technology (AFT) to ensure fast and stable wireless communication between mouse and PC. AFT connects on the strongest frequencies within the 2.4GHz band, and switches frequences when necessary to reduce lag. Battery life promises to reach 24 hours on a single charge.

On the other hand the Lancehead Tournament Edition is the same mouse, only featuring a wired connection to push 450 inchis per second (IPS)/50G acceleration. The 7-foot braided cable carries both data and power and, obviously, it needs no batteries.

Chinese Android gaming device maker GamePad Digital (aka GDP) announces the Pocket, a 7-inch Windows 10 notebook, is now shipping following a successful Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.

First announced back in February 2017, the Pocket represents something of a departure from the portable consoles that are GDP's usual product offering. Described as a combination of ultra-thin notebook and smartphone, the Pocket offers a 7-inch 1920 x 1080 display, Intel Atom X7-Z8750 quad-core CPU, Intel HD Graphics 405 GPU, 8GB LPDDR3 RAM, 128GB eMMC storage and a 7000mAh battery.

Arctic presents a first passive cooler compatible with AMD AM4 processors-- the Alpine AM4, a chunky offering designed for use with APUs and CPUs dissipating no more than 47W.

The Alpine AM4 cooler consists of 21 thick fins 81mm tall. Construction is in black anodised aluminium, and the base measures 100 x 100mm on the sides. As such, it needs to be installed in fairly spacious cases. Installation promises to be easy, with four screws with springs included in the package together with pre-applied MX-2 thermal compound.
