Remember the ludicrous 20-inch Panasonic tablet with the 4K/UHD (3840x2560) display from CES 2013? The company uses IFA 2013 to announce the device is, in fact, a real product-- one to be "shortly" available in Europe.

Panasonic IFAAccording to Panasonic the Windows 8 tablet displays an A3 poster in almost full size, with an aspect ratio of 15:10. The IPS LCD display has a 230ppi density, handles 10-finger input and accepts more accurate input via "high precision" stylus.

The company does not detail technical specs at IFA, but the CES 2013 prototype carried an Intel Core i5 CPU, 4GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce graphics and 128GB storage, as well as wifi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Samsung printersThen again the company does want to accelerate its  "leadership in mobile printing," so perhaps its consideration of outlandish ideas ("what if a printer could double as a speaker?") comes as less of a surprise, seeing how Samsung printers already carry functionality of the app, Wifi Direct, Google Cloud Print and NFC variety...

The first Samsung concept printer we will look at is the Wave. It features a "minimal, organic design," doubles as a smartphone dock and prints saved material directly from the docked device.

ultrathin keyboardThe surface is both lightweight and flexible, meaning OEMs can integrate it into protective covers or provide larger desktop touch zones. It can also act as a super-slim keyboard or detect handwriting or sketches via modified pen, with touch latency of just 12 milliseconds.

Handling wireless connectivity is a CSR1010 chip, a Bluetooth Smart development from CSR allowing it to connect to iOS and Windows 8 devices using a "fraction" of the power standard Bluetooth demands.
